This site tracks development of the byCycle Trip Planner. The target audience is programmers, GIS practitioners, and others involved and interested in development of the trip planner. Everyone is welcome, encouraged even, to look around and add relevant content. General information about the trip planner and byCycle can be found on our info site.
The trip planner is a Web-based tool to help new and seasoned cyclists easily find routes suitable for biking. Routes are confined within geographic regions (a city, county, or group of counties). Currently, the trip planner covers Portland, OR, and surrounding cities and Milwaukee, WI, and surrounding cities. In the future, we plan to integrate more regions and possibly route between regions. The system isn't perfect (yet), but it is steadily improving.
